We’re delighted to announce that we are now the main sponsor for the Barnards Meadow Football Centre in Lowestoft, having agreed a partnership with Suffolk FA.
There was concern over the future of the centre, in Barnards Way, when Sentinel Leisure Trust (who operated the facility) ceased trading and closed it in early 2022. Luckily, Suffolk FA took it over in October 2022 and have made a great start on much-needed improvements ever since.
Suffolk FA’s involvement means that grassroots football will continue to thrive in the town, and we decided to support this because we think it’s important for local companies to give back to the community.
Our owners Glenn Brodie and Roy Clements both have children who have played grassroots football, so they understand the importance of having local sports facilities that are accessible to everyone.
Glenn said: “It’s great to be associated with Suffolk FA as it’s such a well-known brand in the area. Barnards Meadow Football Centre is an excellent facility and we’re proud to be part of its future.”
Chris Bond, Facility & Football Development Officer at Barnards Meadow Football Centre, said: “I would like to say a massive thank you to Dream Installations for their support of Barnards Meadow Football Centre and the wider local grassroots scene.
“Their contribution has allowed us to start the process of wider developments on site and will enable our programme of use to grow and allow the site to remain a footballing hub in Lowestoft.
“It’s great to have a great local partner on board and I hope this is the start of a great relationship between Dream Installations and Suffolk FA.”
The football training facility features a 3G floodlit pitch, classroom and changing facilities.
It is used by Waveney FC, Lowestoft Town Football Club’s Centre of Excellence, Access Sport Education, the Jamie Godbold Football Academy, Coffee Rush and the Brian Gallagher Football Fund.
